First of all this place needs to be renovated or torn down. It still has the same cabinets, doors&..everything from when it was first built. I have seen public housing that has better curb appeal. I was ready to move after one month. My kitchen cabinets were horrible. I didn't even store anything in our lower cabinets because they were so nasty. They charged us for a missing window screen that was never there and because we didn't get the carpets professionally cleaned for move out. They were not clean when we moved in.

Parking: If you have more than one car, don't consider Olympic Village. I have spent endless evenings looking out the window waiting for an extra space to open up so that my husband would have somewhere to park when he got home. You can't park on the main street. One morning my husband and I woke up to no cars. The parking stickers on are cars had been stolen and both cars towed. People were able to store their cars there. There was one car that stayed parked from the time we moved in until we moved out a year later. We rarely had guests over because we were embarrassed of the way the place looked and there was no place for guests to park. The towing company the have are jerks. They will tow resident's cars in a heartbeat, but will take their time to come when someone is parked in your space.

Crime: During my last month living here there was a standoff/hostage situation and no one could leave or enter. Some folks in an apartment across from management were arrested for making counterfeit checks. There are some small houses behind the apartment we rented. I witnessed a drug bust and parties that never ended.

Rats/Roaches: My husband witnessed a cat eating a rodent outside our door. I also got the squirrel excuse from management. It doesn't matter to me bushy tail or no bushy tail a rat is a rat. It got so bad that we could not sleep at night from the rats scratching, running back and forth, and fighting. I didn't experience the roaches until a new tenant moved in downstairs. I had to fumigate the apartment myself when we moved in because our "new carpet" had bugs that left red bumps on our arms and legs when we sat on the floor.

Maintenance: I was never notified when someone was coming to my apartment. I have been walked in on while sleeping and my husband has been walked in on while showering. When I was six months pregnant I got knock from an exterminator that he was there to spray for roaches. I had to get up and leave because I did not know he was coming and could not be around the fumes. It took almost a month for them to come paint my bathroom after we moved in because they forgot to paint it. Emergency maintenance responded faster than regular maintenance.

We constantly received notices to watch our water usage. Management had the nerve to increase the rent. When we went to sign our move out notice, the new managers asked what they could do to make Olympic Village better. They could have offered free rent for a year we were not staying.
