Apartment Review for Arbor Pointe - Norfolk, VA

Arbor Pointe is a disgusting place to live let alone raise children in. We have lived here for a year because of our lease and CANNOT wait to leave. The apartments are INFESTED with roaches and all other sorts of creepy crawlies. I have spoken to several other tenants including in other buildings and they confirmed they have the same insect issues. On to the neighbor issues, I have a two year old daughter who continually used to hear (along with the rest of my family) the "man" upstairs beating his pregnant girlfriend. During this time the woman was probably between her fifth and nineth month of pregnancy. I called the police several times to address this issue and they would come 30 minutes later and just leave because the man wouldn't answer his door. This went on for SEVERAL months as i stated. I contacted a police officer that lives a few streets over, and there was nothing he could do he said. So I continued to call Norfolk Police when this would occur. Oventually, they told me to stop calling. They told me that the woman has to report it even though we could hear him out on the back steps knocking her down and hitting her. The police in this area are horrible. In general, this apartment complex is horrible. The floors are warped, there is paint drips on the walls, mold in the bathrooms, and none of which maintenance feels they need to address. There is ONE single good thing I can say about this place. Carolyn in the office is an excellent worker. She has helped me a lot in my time here. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE INTO ARBOR POINTE!!! You will severely regret it I assure you.
