Apartment Review for Breezy Point Apartments - Norfolk, VA

WhenI first got to breezy point, the place was wonderful. Sure the walls are quite thin, and you can here the music too loud downstairs, and the neighbors next to the people down stairs arguing at 2am, or people in the parking lots blaring thier music at midnight, even though you've threatened to call the cops twice in 10 minutes, and sure, the carpet, although clean, is ugly, but it wasn't too bad, and it's very nicely maintained outside and in. Over the last year, my feelings have changed. Tow trucks towing cars, or charging you to drop the vehilcal when you catch this... let me let you in on a secret... if you catch them, they have to drop it or else it is considered stealing. Threaten the cops on them. Over the last few months I've noticed something disturbing. When I leave, I lock the door only, but on occassion, upon my return, I notice that the dead bolt is locked as well. Who has been coming into my apartment when I am away? Without my knowledge? Now I understand they come in to spray for the prevention of bugs (though my place was infested with knats when I got it), but they are supposed to give you notice so that you may remove pets and such. I had no notice of the last time they did this. When I came home from work, there was a paper on the ground saying they sprayed, but no notice for me to remove my two cats before they did! Hope they don't die from poisioning! And in one of the other reviews a man talks about a maintenance man asking about his wife... well the other day, when I was gone, and my boyfriend was sitting there, one of the staff guys there was walking around putting candy bags on the doors. Yet he knocked on my door, and looked startled when my boyfriend answered the door. After he left, my bf watched through the peep hole as he simply placed bags on the other doors and moved on. Why did he knock on mine?! Oh, I could go on and on. Do I feel safe there? NOT ANY MORE! Will I renew my lease? ONLY if I can find NOTHING ELSE! I think I'd feel safer in the most ghetto part of portsmouth. So think twice before moving in here. It has it's nice qualities, and looks great, but looks can be deceiving.
