Apartment Review for Colony Point Apartments - Norfolk, VA

These apartments are horrible. The other reviews here are don't do this dump justice. I've been here for three weeks, and the sewage has backed up 5 times. The maitenance people snake the drain right outside my door, and each time sewage has flooded the hallway, smelling the whole place up. The sewage once backed up into my bathroom and filled my tub with waste water. Since my apartement has stinked like a sewer. I thought it was bad when it stank like gas from the gas stove. The sewage problem is probably why the place seems to be infested with roaches or waterbugs, seeing as i dont even have any food in the apartment. Don't get a place on the bottom floor, because the people above you are sure to keep you up all night. The ceilings creak and pop with each step, and I know exactly where all their furniture is, and I've never even seen their apartment. I don't even sleep in the bedroom, because that's where the noise is the loudest. There are no outlets in the bathroom, and the light fixture in the kitchen is about as bright as a candle. The outside is almost as bad as the inside. Every car that goes past seems to be blasting horrible rap music whose bass you can feel through the walls at all hours. You'd think the security would do something about that, except I haven't seen them in the three weeks that I've been here. Last weekend a party went all night with music I could hear blasting from four buildings away without being talked to once. Obvious drugs deals take place all the time. Don't let the pretty office fool you. I've talked to managment four times since being here and not once have they reached a solution to any of my problems. They say they'll check out your neighbors, but everytime they fail to do it when they say they will their only excuse is they didn't have the time. So in short, skip this place. The rent is too high ($700 for a one bedroom) for the crap you'll have to put up with here.
