Apartment Review for Dundale Square - Norfolk, VA

First off, me and my husbadn needed a place to live asap. And Lawson Reailty recomeneded this. Everything was okay at first. Until we started to notice our neighbors around us. I have only lived here for 3 months and my husband is gone a lot on the ship so he urged me to move asap. There are elementary school children in front of my apartment constatnly beating each other up in bloddy fights with teenagers cheering them on, there are gunshots heard almost once a week. And the one thing that topped it off was just the other night, my mother came to visit and we were watching a movie at 9:30 pm and we heard a big BOOM at the door, and our front door had cracked open with a HUGE footprint on it. There were all the children running around outside still playing and about 10 other people outside when it happened and none of them would tell me a thing. GHETTO! And the manager is not even in the office, I write a check for the rent and it does not even get cashed until the next month which is horrible. The maintanence people say they do not even see her often. But the maintaence crew is always here within an hour or two and are always on top of their game to fix our apartment. But there are roaches, flying around and everything. It is disgusting. I am moving out because my one year old daughter does not need to be around this, and I should not have to worry about my life and my daughters everytime my husband goes to work.
