Apartment Review for Notingham - Norfolk, VA

Please don't even waste your time by even considering these apartments. I've lived in these apartments for three years and it has went down tramendously. When I first moved in, I didn't know they accepted Section 8. Just recently, the apartments had an audit for HUD housing. Staff was working franticlly to upgrade the apartment and make sure tentants were following HUD policies in hopes of not losing any of their grant money. Just to name a few things they were trying to correct for the audit, locks were being changed, doors adjusted, you could not have furniture blocking windows, no cords on the floor and many other violations that were not in the lease. Not to be judgemental, but Section 8 housing brings in a different breed of tentants e.i. morals and values. I am a professional that holds a 9 to 5 job. Many of the people that live here don't work! so you have people playing their music 12 - 3/am. The walls are paper thin, you can hear arguing at all times of the night. People are just hanging out in the parking lot smoking "weed", drinking, and cursing loudly. My list of negatives could go on forever, but needless to say, "I CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF THIS HELL HOLE!!!"
