Apartment Review for Powhatan Apartments At Old Dominion University - Norfolk, VA

For starters, the dorms at ODU are pretty awful. Powhatan apartments are probably the best they have to offer (except for University Village), but Powhatan has it's downfalls too. While it is spacious and the groundspeople keep it very neat and clean, and maintanance takes cares of small repairs promptly, major problems are ignored. A friend of mine is disabled, and her room has mold growing up the walls. Instead of fixing the problem, ODU painted over it. Her roomate was made physically ill by it. Some of the roofs leak. Beds and mattresses are pretty much disgusting...uncomfortable and stained. The bathrooms and rooms are clean however, and many apartments do not have any major problems. But if yours does, don't expect to get it repaired.
