Apartment Review for Ramblewood Apartments - Norfolk, VA

When I first moved into these apartments they were owned by Amico... They I thought were a good management company... but then they sold out to Great Atlantic, then all hell broke loose... maintence if you have a pet and need them to come in and fix something will take out your pet from its cage ... not called for ... and when it comes to fixing anything ... when an applince really needs to be reaplaced they replace the parts broken in it instead of replacing it, when your looking at an applice from the 1970s... come on now ... and your paying almost $700 for a one bedroom ... not worth the money thats for sure... the place is not kept up like its suppost to be ... they think spending money on the OUTSIDE of the apartment complex will make things better when it doesnt... I talked to one new resident and she said the 2bedroom she was moving into(I currently am in a one bedroom) looked far worse then the one she moved out of from a different complex... Also one unit in a building next to me had their hotwater heater break ... occupants called in on the EMERENCY line at 3am, when it happened, and no one showed up ... there was hot water running all over the place and with this being an upstairs unit, there was even water running down the stairs, the tenants called every hour on the hour and no one would show up ... now because of water leaking, there was extensive damage to the carpet and floor board, and with water seeping down to the bottom unit, now mold growing into the walls in the bottom unit... when the carpet got replaced in the unit where the hotwater heater broke... the floor board was damaged so bad, it was never even replaced... and the top unit balconies... oh my god... the wood on them was never treated after it was installed... so now the wood is rotted out so bad, that you cant even use your balcony... which is pretty sad... I will not stay at this complex for another after my lease is up in 3/2005 nor will I suggest to anyone to move into this complex either ... for the price they charge, mintus well go live in Park Crescent apartments... at least ther stuff looks 10 times better inside and out !!!
