Apartment Review for Sewells Park Apartments - Norfolk, VA

Never i mean never live there. I made a big mistake. Me and my husband lived there for 2 and a half yrs. We only stayed because it was cheap. The neighborhood is awful. Shootings at night drug deals on the corner. Random stabbing or shooting on the grounds.Nasty stray cats living under the buildings. Washers and dryers never work right. Cars broken into daily. Dumpsters never empty. Never any hot water. Stove barely worked right. Mold constantly growing outside my window. Hardwood floors falling apart. Chalking in bathroom was crappy, a child could have done a better job. Old cracking, stained floor in kitchen and bathroom. No central air. Rent goes up for average people but not the dam military. Parties every night outside. Landscapers damage cars with there mowers. Dogs not leashed. Dog crap all over the lawns. Pit bulls kept there when weight limit is 25lbs we all know they get to at least 60lbs. Doors hardly shut. Paint peeling in hall. Light in hall never worked. Mail boxes not secure. It took them forever to fix something and when they did its not done right. We had our inspection done and everything was ok. Then we moved out and was due for a refund on deposit $250.00. We only got $50.00 because the stove was dirty. For one thing i wasnt allowed to pull out the stove to clean behind it, since being a gas stove and all. So it "took" $150.00 bucks to clean behind it when it was dirty when we first moved in. The neighbors were nosiy as can be. Me and my husband complained to the office and police. Nothing was ever done. If your military you get all the perks, free a/c unit, cheaper rent, and so on. Now if your the average joe and need a place to live your screwed. The buildings are in need of a major makeover inside and out. Our tub would never drain all the way, took 2hrs to drain one night. Took staff 4days to get me a new fridge after my old one stopped working. The list could go on and on. I think you get the idea!
