Apartment Review for Talbot Park Apartments Inc - Norfolk, VA

Overall, I'd recommend the apartments. If you're a student, or your starting out, they're a great value for the money. Be prepared to wash your dishes by hand. I will say the parking sucks especially if you work a late shift. Most of it is on street, you'll definitely loose weight if you have have carry your groceries or laundry. The grounds aren't all that bad. In some places it's rocky and dusty, but overall they do a pretty good job. Take it from someone who worked the graveyard shift. They definitely cut the grass often. I only had 2 complaints. Ants !! be prepared to go buy your own stuff. I bought baits and traps from home depot and never saw them again. I can tell you, I kept my floors "swiffered" and mopped and that wasn't enough. They sprayed my building at least once a month (maintenance was great). I just took it a step further b/c it looked like the nest was literally a few yards from my window. Noise. It won't bother you if you're an early riser or if you're in one of the areas away from Granby High. Since I got off work late, the buses were truly the devils spawn come to torture my immortal soul. During the school year you won't need an alarm clock b/c the buses are always on time and there are a lot of them. The tenants were pretty quiet no complaints about them. Other than that it was great living next to the school. It's extremely convenient to live so close to a running track if you want to jog or walk to keep in shape. You just have to be willing to deal w/ the bus traffic in the A.M.
