Apartment Review for The Oaks - Norfolk, VA

Moved in March 2009, paid extra to have the 2bdrm, with washer and dryer, "deluxe" unit only to find out that the washer DOESNT WORK AND STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED!!!! The patio door doesn't lock, the shower didn't work, the a/c freezes up every day and leaks water onto the carpet and gives the apartment a stale, mildew smell, every week someone's windows get busted out in the parking lot...NO SECURITY WHATSOEVER! I've seen a total of 15 windows busted since I moved in in March. There are roaches in the apartment, we had to bomb it 3 times and we still see an occasional roach every now and then. The a/c still doesnt work,the patio still doesnt lock, and its been 4 months! The apartment is way overpriced, you definely don't get what you pay for. The rental office doesnt keep good records, they're so unorganized, they lost the key to my apartment!! The complex looks nice on the outside, the grounds are kept up, and it is pet friendly those are about the only positives to this place, other than that...DON'T MOVE HERE.
